On Friday, May 4, 2018; students enrolled in different courses at John Amico School of Hair Design were Enriching the Lives of Senior Citizens Again! At the Senior Service Coalition of SE Chicago, they were invited to make their contributions to the to the Claretian Cinco De Mayo event. The location was 9233 S. Burley Ave., Chicago, IL. It was the occasion of annual Senior Health and Resource Fair with a Cinco de Mayo celebration of The Senior Service Coalition of Southeast Chicago. Participants had the access to live entertainment and all were actively enjoying dancing, prizes, bingo and the variety of health information and services. On this amazing occasion, more than 28 services were done by the students of John Amico School of Hair Design; involving trims, cuts, relining and braids. Seniors were happy to receive such services and thankful to the students who actively did it for them. Ana was coordinating the participation of students with the senior citizens. Now the social workers are planning field trips to bring senior residents to our school so that they can witness the learning procedures and feel happy. Students delivering beauty services there were: Alita Henry, Danny Dean, Dai Jerne’ Slater, Edwin Simans, Jr., Silvia Rios.
